Waterfield house

When I took over the activities, I met Joyce during the Christmas church service at our care home waterfield house. Once the service was finished, Joyce came over to me to thank me for helping putting the service together. I talked about my desire to have a regular church service for our residents.  She asked me if I practiced and I said I do not have a religion. She was surprised. She asked as someone with no faith, why would I go out of my way to set up a regular church service. I explained because some of my residents have faith and I want them to feel part of their church. From that day on, we became fast friends, regularly coming up with ways to bring faith into our home, especially during the very difficult times of covid. She would regularly check up on me and our residents. We really enjoyed her monthly service once we could have them back in our home and hoped for more in the future. We are broken hearted to know that will no longer be. She is an inspiration for love and faith. She will be sorely missed and we will think of her always. RIP Joyce. You are an angel now and I hope you pop by to check on me occasionally
